How to install the car blind spot mirror Step 1 - Clean mirrors thoroughly with alcohol or other glass cleaner. Step 2 - Strip off the middle part of 3M adhesive from bottom of blind spot mirror. Useful for any new driver.

My car door mirrors are smaller than the one I learned in so whenever I reverse park, I have to always change my mirrors. But I no longer need to with these blind spot mirrors.

The adhesive tape is very strong so test it out before you place them on your door mirrors.

Really helps seeing further behind and to the side of you. Helps with seeing bay parking lines the closer you reverse into them. Now I don't have to open my door to see if I'm within the bay. It also helps with merging and emerging from slip roads. I don't have to swivel my head!

Blind spot mirrors

I would highly recommend this product at first I had my doubts before I brought this item but I’m really pleased with these mirrors at first I found it really hard when changing lanes on a dual carriageway because I couldn’t see much with my normal side mirrors if I had any cars overtaking me in my blind spots but now I’ve got a better view of my blind spots plus another good thing about these mirrors is that, parking was a issue for me I kept on damaging my car rims on the cerb because I couldn’t see the cerb properly in my normal side mirrors but as you can see in the pictures I’ve added to my review I can comfortably park my car without damaging my rims because I can see the cerb in the blind spot mirrors and I’m not constantly having to adjust my normal side mirrors up and down to see the cerb.

so far so good where I live we’ve had heavy rainfall the blind spot mirrors have stayed intact haven’t fallen off as I thought they might do but they haven’t which is great. I hope that helps guys I’m telling you won’t be disappointed with these mirrors, and if your a newly passed driver this will definitely help you with your driving because you will have a better view of what’s happening around you.

Good but not for me

These are excellent, of their type - glass rather than plastic and easily fitted. I cleaned the car mirrors with isopropyl alcohol and the new ones are securely attached. I recommend sticking them temporarily with masking tape first, until you're happy with their location. Mine are in the lower corner of the car mirrors, closest to the car. That's the area of car mirror that's least useful.

I'm not getting on with them, unfortunately. I find them a distraction and a bit of an irritation. I think I'm going to remove them and stick to looking over my shoulder. I've been driving for many years and never had a problem changing lanes. It's getting harder to twist my neck, as I get older, but I'll be ok for a while yet.

Having removed a couple of dashcam brackets held on the windscreen with 3M pads in the past, I'm confident I'll be able to get these mirrors off with a hot air gun to soften the plastic (not too hot or it'll damage the mirror housings) and a plastic scraper.

These are really good quality convex mirrors - and easily stuck on the existing mirrors with prefixed stickers. They really do give one an extra field of view - which is great where most mirrors in the UK are dead flat - and therefore only show what is straight behind. These certainly add to safety - and the ability to see "all around" behind and to the side. Now I have fitted them, my wife wants a set for her car!!! They are not expensive but they really do make life much safer. Why car manufacturers do not fit these as standard is beyond me. Luckily we have the choice for not much money.

Still Sticking!

I brought these a few months ago now and they've made driving and parking more enjoyable. My car is very old and I am very short, and as a result I found there was no way to set my mirrors to both safely drive and actually park. I know, I know, it isn't an issue I anticipated either - in the two cars I'd driven before it hadn't been an issue - so I had to do something.

Blindspots eradicated. I can now drive and park without any problems. Winter will probably be the real test, but they've survived heat, wind, rain, and mild frost so far, so hopefully they'll continue to stay stuck on.

Good quality glass and backing. Gives about 10 degrees of extra vision all around - checkout the attached pic. There are 2 options - using the ball-joint extension or sticking it on the glass directly. I prefer the latter because the extension method shows the reflection of the back of the glass and blocks some of the view of the original mirror. All in all, a good piece of kit to enhance safety on the road.

I bought these for my Citroen Berlingo van which has terrible blind spots and can be very awkward to actually carry out a proper safety check to cover all the angles in a timely manner whilst driving.
These have been excellent and I wouldn't hesitate in buying them again.
The only thing I would suggest is to gain the assistance of a friend/family member to assist in finding your ideal installation spot on the mirror as it can be surpringly difficult to make the most of the available angle. Offer it up to various corners of your mirrors before taking the sticky protection off (bearing in mind you probably want the 'best of both worlds' whilst being in an even installation point on both left and right mirrors).
Make sure the mirror is nice and clean/dry with no window cleaner etc on it before pressing them home.

My vehicle (Astra GTC) has very limited rear visibility due to its small rear window and sadly it does not come with a reversing camera. These mirrors go some way to assisting both parallel parking and reverse parking ,as the mirrors can be angled to give you a view or your rear tyres in relation to curbs etc. Also saves scuffing my rear alloys!
Extremely easy to install and have shown no signs of coming off, even when I have inadvertently pressure washed the wing mirrors when cleaning the car. Very pleased.
