This book is great for newborns. We've used this with our baby for the first two months and it would entertain her for a good 10-15 minutes. It's sturdy cardboard, stands well on its own (also closes nicely with velcro) and still looks like new after a couple of months using it. Now that our baby is starting to see colours as well, she's not as interested in it anymore but it was definitely worth the money and good stimulation. I will definitely be buying this as a baby shower gift for all my pregnant friends in the future.

Our baby loves this book. We’ve been using it since she was four weeks old and she’s now three months.

It folds out so you can place it on the floor for her to look at while baby is laying down. One side features a black background with white objects and the other side has white backgrounds with black objects. The contrast keeps our baby interested for “long” periods of time.

We also make up stories and explain the objects which she loves. There are 14 images in total so lots to work with.

Fantastic purchase, could not recommend enough for little ones.

Great book - naively I didn't read that it isn't a traditional page turning book, however this was a blessing as when I extend it out our little boy loves to stare at it in his crib/cot and it keeps him quiet for 20-30 minutes at a time (this has been for the last few weeks since he was 2 weeks old). Really nice item for them to focus on in the first few weeks, so would highly recommend for newborn babies.

She only looks at it for a very short time but it's amazing to see her eyes open wide and really take in the different pictures as I turn the pages. A great feature is being able to unfold the whole book so that you're left with a very long row of pages for baby to look at. Useful for when you need a couple of minutes to get something done.

At times I have used it just for him to look at & tried to make a random story out of the pictures, just so he can hear my voice etc. It’s great for tummy time too because you can stand it up in front of baby, but mine personally is stood up against the wall on his changing table. He used to hate having his bum changed but now? He just stares at the book and looks at the different pictures, he doesn’t cry at all now! :D
