DI Graham Walker is just beginning to settle into a quieter life on the picturesque Gower peninsula when a call comes in. Even to the coast, death has followed him.
The remains of a woman have washed up on the golden sands of Three Cliffs Bay. Her young body is twisted, broken, and Graham soon learns that hers was not the first that the local community have seen – not by a long shot.
As Graham begins to probe into the lives of those around him, it becomes clear that the people that had so warmly welcomed him are less than keen to bring an end to the death that surrounds them. He must work in the shadows if he is to unravel the web of lies he has been spun, and penetrate a generation-long façade to bring an end to the cycle of abuse and murder.
Can Graham bring down the killer before a new sequence begins, or will it be him that the locals find next - face down in the sand?
Beyond the Waves is the second book in the DI Graham Walker series of Crime Thrillers. If you like bone-chilling suspense and captivating characters, then you will love Benjamin J Sawyer’s page-turning follow up to The Minder.

The 2nd book in the DI Graham Walker series from Benjamin J Sawyer is another good read from a new and exciting author on the crime scene.
After the harrowing events of book 1, Walker and family take a transfer and are now just about to start working in a small insular Welsh Peninsula when a body of a young girl washes up ashore before Walker even starts.
With inept colleagues and a further body following in quick succession, Walker knows only he can get to the bottom of the deaths.
With a creeping and sinister suspense building throughout, Benjamin Sawyer has created an entertaining page turner, which is deftly paced, with a good plot and some real devious characters.
The story flows well, the finale is satisfying and the epilogue whilst a bit far fetched did leave me with a mischievous grin and a firm interest into what’s to come in the next instalment.
Great stuff.
