Catlow loves travel. Born and brought up in the heart of Suffolk, Catlow has travelled extensively in Europe with her French husband and, more recently, their two young children. Of all the places she’s been it is the Greek islands that have captured her heart. She visits as often as family commitments allow.

The Little Blue Door is Catlow’s first novel – written during the lockdown of 2020 while feeding her baby in the early hours. It's the first book in 'Little Blue Door' series. This is followed by Behind The Olive Trees (2022) and the third book is called Chasing Greek Dreams and will be out in 2023. This series has complimentary novellas too. Catlow is also writing historical fiction set in her home county.

5.0 out of 5 stars So Much More Than Expected!
By Jinxy_Reads on 7 May 2022
Wow where do I start! I loved The Little Blue Door and was delighted to be able to continue the story of Melodie. Once again you’re transported to beautiful Corfu with all of the sights, sounds and smells drawing you in. All the characters we met in The Little Blue Door are there and it’s like catching up with old friends. However there are lots of new people, some lovely and others not so! There’s romance but oh so much more, twists and turns keeping you guessing but the end is so unexpected. I can’t wait for book three, a wonderful read.

5.0 out of 5 stars An absolute must read
By Mrsbookburnee on 6 May 2022
As soon as I started reading I was transported back to Cofu, I could almost feel the sun on my face and hear the breeze in the trees.

It was so good to be back with Melodie, Anton and Gaia and to see how their family has developed and I love Melodie and Gaia’s bond.

There are some very interesting (nasty 😬) characters, the developments with Keres really hooked me in and I had to keep reading to find out what she was up to. The story just flows and you really feel that you are getting to know each character.

As well as the romance and family dynamics, the book also has a thriller edge! The waiter?!! And not forgetting that epic cliff hanger, I don’t find I will be able to settle until I read the next book in the series!

5.0 out of 5 stars So lovely to be back in Corfu!
By Stephanie Edmeads on 8 May 2022
oh how lovely it was to be back in Corfu. I have read the first book in The Little Blue Door series, and although there was a five month gap in between reading the first and then the second, it felt like I’d only read it very recently, everything just came back to me.

Absolutely loved how things started in this book, how Melodie and Anton’s relationship developed. To me they are couple goals ♥️. That little family just makes my heart melt. I adore the bond between Melodie and Gaia, they’re so close and although Melodie is not Gaia’s ‘real’ mother, to me she makes the perfect mother figure and is SO supportive.

I loved how the book delves more into Melodie’s past, I do like how authors really describe a characters past so well. Francesca has done a brilliant job of this. I definitely feel like I know Melodie in real life.

While this is very much an escapism read, it is full of unexpected twists. An unexpected girl living in Melodie’s mothers home, who is she and what secrets can be uncovered?

Can we talk cliff hanger, when I finished this book I saw a meme that said -
*Slams book shut*… “when I open this again I’d better not read what I thought I just did”. Not only was it strange to appear on my feed when I’d just finished the book but how well it fit to how I felt! I cannot wait for the next instalment, I NEED to know what happens!

I have to highlight that while reading this I did catch up with Francesca throughout which was lovely, sharing my thoughts along the way. The added cat/kitten chapters really made me smile too, as most people know I’m a huge cat lover. So to read happy chapters about kittens is an all round positive for me ♥️

Definitely recommend the Little Blue Door series, it’s so wonderful and it’s great to escape with these stories!
