She thought she'd found her lost past, but did she uncover all the secrets?
Melodie returns to her mother's house in Corfu for the first time since inheriting it. Only, she discovers it isn't empty. She finds someone has been living there; a girl who claims the property is hers.
Dismissing the claim, Melodie tries to enjoy her new life and love in the beauty of Corfu. The girl soon resurfaces and it becomes impossible to ignore her any longer. Who is this girl, and what does she want from Melodie?
Behind The Olive Trees the second part of the Little Blue Door series. It’s women's fiction at its best, with a unique balance of romance, family saga and mystery-thriller all rolled into the real-world-escapism of the UK's favourite Greek island, Corfu. If you love a family saga full of intrigue and a sexy romance, then Catlow’s Little Blue Door series is for you.
Read Behind The Olive Trees now to discover who the girl in Melodie’s house really is and what she wants from Melodie.

This is followed by Behind The Olive Trees (2022) and the third book is called Chasing Greek Dreams and will be out in 2023. This series has complimentary novellas too. Catlow is also writing historical fiction set in her home county.

Gently remembering the last story
Gathering characters
Not liking this incomer
Suspicions
Worried now fast moving
Oh my word the ending noooo
It was so good to be back with Melodie, Anton and Gaia and to see how their family has developed and I love Melodie and Gaia’s bond.
There are some very interesting (nasty 😬) characters, the developments with Keres really hooked me in and I had to keep reading to find out what she was up to. The story just flows and you really feel that you are getting to know each character.
As well as the romance and family dynamics, the book also has a thriller edge! The waiter?!! And not forgetting that epic cliff hanger, I don’t find I will be able to settle until I read the next book in the series!

Absolutely loved how things started in this book, how Melodie and Anton’s relationship developed. To me they are couple goals ♥️. That little family just makes my heart melt. I adore the bond between Melodie and Gaia, they’re so close and although Melodie is not Gaia’s ‘real’ mother, to me she makes the perfect mother figure and is SO supportive.
I loved how the book delves more into Melodie’s past, I do like how authors really describe a characters past so well. Francesca has done a brilliant job of this. I definitely feel like I know Melodie in real life.
While this is very much an escapism read, it is full of unexpected twists. An unexpected girl living in Melodie’s mothers home, who is she and what secrets can be uncovered?
Can we talk cliff hanger, when I finished this book I saw a meme that said -
*Slams book shut*… “when I open this again I’d better not read what I thought I just did”. Not only was it strange to appear on my feed when I’d just finished the book but how well it fit to how I felt! I cannot wait for the next instalment, I NEED to know what happens!
I have to highlight that while reading this I did catch up with Francesca throughout which was lovely, sharing my thoughts along the way. The added cat/kitten chapters really made me smile too, as most people know I’m a huge cat lover. So to read happy chapters about kittens is an all round positive for me ♥️
Definitely recommend the Little Blue Door series, it’s so wonderful and it’s great to escape with these stories!
