In this attempt to come up with a more natural product Baylis and Harding have made something of high quality for a very good price.
I was a little snobbish about the brand, associating it with cheaper supermarket shelf toiletries. Dont be; this is attractively packaged, smells great, uses organic and vegan ingredients and has the thickness and viscosity of very much more expensive shower gels.

I have quite dry skin and find that any product with sls and sles dry my skin out. I enjoy using this body wash, it has a nice lather, and it smells divine (like turkish delight). As it uses plant based cleaners and no sls, sles or ales it doesn't dry my skin out. I also love that its silicone free and vegan.

This is absolutely wonderful. The scent is fabulous if you like musky, wintry smells. It can be used in the bath as well as a shower gel, leaves your skin feeling soft and silky and the bathroom smelling gorgeous. And the bonus is it’s kind to the environment. Just love it!

Very poor aromatic performance (but good value in terms of £/ml)

I bought three bottles of this oud, amber and cedar shower gel for less than £9 (March 2020) as I am a total sucker for cedar-fragranced personal care prooducts for men (the fact that this is a more environmentally sustainable product was also part of the appeal). At under £3 per 500ml bottle, this seemed like pretty good value, particularly given that oud and cedar are usually expensive aromas to deliver in personal care products. Having used this for a few days now, I have to say that I'm very disappointed, and the low price is reflective of the fact that the product doesn't have much 'oomph' in its composition. Whilst there is an unmistakeable oudy aroma to the shower gel, it is VERY soft. There is also very little in the way of strong cedar notes - L'Oreal's Barber Club 3-in-1 Beard, Hair and Face Wash is waaaaaaaaay stronger in terms of fragrance, for example (albeit at a higher £/ml cost). The fragrance from this B&H shower gel is also very short-lived: the process of towelling off seems to remove all trace of it from your skin. It's a real shame, because the combination of scents is a really nice one. I certainly won't be buying it again though, and I really wish now that I had only bought one bottle rather than a multipack.

I usually buy their black pepper and ginseng shower gel but thought I'd give this a go as I love the oud scent. There wasn't any. In fact there isn't much of a scent at all. All I can smell is the foaming agent, that nasty plastic like smell you get in cheap bargain store brands. I'd actually question if this is a genuine product as it smells of nothing. Very unlike other Bayliss and Harding products I've had before.

My usual shower gel has increased in price a lot recently, so i thought i would give this a go.
The description of the scent is what caught my eye but on opening the bottle I must admit I was disappointed as there was only a very mild scent present.
Luckily when used the scent is much more obvious and I really like it.
Its complex, woody and spicy and not too sweet smelling.
The gel its is quite gelatinous but not overly viscous.
The lather isnt the most impressive, so i find i have to use a little more than I have previously.

For the price though I think this is very good.
