Really like this hand wash. It it good at cleansing but not striping the skin. I have a clear Baylis & Harding base/holder which looks attractive and keeps the bottles together nicely. It holds one pump bottle of hand wash and one pump bottle of the hand lotion.

I have been ordering this via the S&S system which offers good value and means I can keep using the same clear holder/stand previously mentioned.

My disappointment is it that the packaging seems to have changed in my last delivery. The nice silver coloured neck (which says Baylis & Harding) just under the pump on the bottle seems to have been replaced with a cheap white, plain plastic one. I know this might not be a deal breaker to some, but I can buy a Super’s market own brand that looks like that for a fraction of the price. This issue is only small, but asthetics are noticeable when your spending that little bit extra to buy the B&H brand.

Bought every different flavour of these, and the whole family seem to agree this has the nicest scent (Jasmine/Apple Blossom).

After years of itchy, cracked skin on the back of my hands and having different creams off the GP, I finally found something I should have thought of way earlier. We were using Carex and both myself and my son (who has eczema anyway) had sore skin on our hands. I read a review on Amazon about Carex causing this issue, so thought I would try a different product.

Thus I found this stuff. Antibacterial, nice scent and been using for a couple of months now. Finally my painful, dry, cracked skin on my hands is gone! My sons’ hands have improved drastically, but he does have quite bad eczema anyway - nevertheless, this stuff has helped him as much as the hand wash he has had from the GP. (Not saying this stuff should be used in place of prescription medication, use your own judgment).

Price wise (paid £4.50 for this stuff at the time, has increased to £5.12 and maybe will change price again, as is often the case on Amazon) it is currently pretty much the same price as Carex. I always try to compare prices though, sometimes it can be on offer/cheaper elsewhere. We are happy with this product and the only thing I regret so far was not finding this stuff sooner!

Overall, very happy with this stuff and container looks quite nice too! (Keep a spare empty though as I have had the push down dispenser part break on one bottle, so good to keep a spare empty just in case).

White residue

Arrived well packaged but looks slightly different to my normal packaging due to current events. Nice light fragrance leaving hands feeling clean. There is a white residue inside at the bottom and throughout each bottle. Not sure what it is as never seen it before in other bottles. Still lathers like usual just unsure why this residue is there. Shaking the bottle makes no difference. Contacted B & H for confirmation but not received a response yet

ETA: added pictures of the white floaty bits/residue. B & H responded by asking if it was still there. Didn’t answer if batch code was genuine. Looked at other bottles in a supermarket and they didn’t have the white bits so decided to put in the bin and will not repurchase.

B & H are sending out replacements

Broken tops, bottles so thin they buckle under their own weight, the smell of the stuff is so feint and without depth that it feels like a fake- or the deathroes attempt at relevance.

Baylis & Harding used to mean quality, now they're something to desperation-buy when everything else sold out due to the Zombie apocalypse.

Terriible fragrance, poor quality, poor packaging. End of an era.

Lime smell with colouring

We are using the Jasmine & Apple Blossom scented Baylis & Harding hand wash a long time, so I thought to give it a try to a new scent and ordered the Aloe, Tea Tree & Lime version of their Cleanse & Protect range.

I like natural remedies, the taste of lime, the strong and characteristic smell of tea tree oil... Hence I had a fragrance in my mind what to expect from this blend.

I was quite dissapointed after the first use. You can't smell anything apart from the lime. The texture and colour of the hand wash looks like aloe, but I can't see containing it or any tea tree in this hand wash. I expected at least a small drop of this oil appering at the end of the ingredients list. However after washing gives the same feeling of dryness like when you use tea tree oil on skin.

I'm not a big expert in cosmetic ingredients, but I'm not sure what makes this hand wash anti-bacterial...?!

I don't think I will order this product again, even if it was in a very good price for 3 bottles of 500ml.

Ever since Covid and the need for hand washes has increased, I have found that Baylis and Harding have watered down all their hand washes. They finish very quickly due to the fine and watery consistency so you need more to be able to wash your hands properly. Yes they are cheaper in the deals but on balance it actually works out more expensive as you are using more than you would normally to wash your hands Therefore you end up buying more.

I bought the package of 3 to take to work and put in the lady's restroom. It not only smells pleasant but it doesn't dry out my hands every time I wash my hands and it seems to really last. It's been in there for almost a month now and considering you're looking at probably 50+ uses a day there is still half a bottle left. Probably going to see if I can find more scents (even though I really like the apple jasmine one cause it isn't super strong) but just to change it up but I'll definitely purchase it again.

I really like this handwash.. I bought the Jasmine and Apple Blossom and the smell is very nice. Leaves your hands feeling soft afterwards. I love the fact its an antibacterial handwash too. I got the 3 pack for £5.54 which I think is cheap price as they are each 500ml. This pack lasted a long time even with all the extra 20 second hand washing at the moment! I’ve just purchased some more of this while it’s in stock.
