I'm a big fan of GP Ultra alkaline batteries.
They are as good, if not better than any of the other makes.
Out of the pack each battery measures 1.62V. This will slowly drop away, but the voltage remains around the 1.4/1.5 volt longer than others.
They will last unused for years. The date on these is April 2031, and I have no doubt they would still be perfectly fine on that date.
Yes, they are made in China, but that means nothing, nearly everything is, and as long as the testing is consistent, there is no reason to think that the manufacturing standards are anything other than top notch.
They are free from Mercury and Cadmium.
I have bought them countless times for work, and they've never let me down.

Alas, I have been wasting my money paying rip-off high street prices for 'famous' brand batteries.Then, I discovered these on Amazon and saved myself a fortune!These are excellent batteries that in all aspects, are as good as the famous brand equivalents. They are now my default battery for all applications including high power devices.Indeed, not only do they last well, the 'use by' date is 11/2025 so there is no issue with storage until they are needed!They come in a convenient small box so they are easy to store without disappearing to the 4 corners of a drawer.As you may have guessed, I am very pleased with my purchase!UPDATE.The seller continues to pester me for feedback and a review - weeks after I had posted both.
