Matching the remote control with the light
Turn on the bathroom lights ceiling with the wall switch, press and hold the "Match code" of the remote control for 3 seconds to complete the pairing. If the remote is paired successfully, the light will flash, then you can control the ceiling light with the remote. If you can't control the lamp, then turn off the switch and repeat the previous operation.
Timing and memory function
Press the countdown function on the remote control before going to bed, and the round ceiling light will turn off after 60s. Use the remote control or app control, the living room lights ceiling will remember the last setting before turning off the light, when you turn it on again, the ceiling light will be the same color temperature and brightness as before turning off the light.

I fear that this could be too clever for some households

I set it all up off the ceiling ~ the screws and fittings for installation was going to be easy.A step forward is the supplied electrical connector, little levers to lock the wires in place, simple and more secure than the old style choc block with tiny screws.My first problem was shown in the first picture ~ twist to lock or unlock the fitting to the base. In my eyes twist the fitting to release from the base. I found it the wrong way round ~ I could see what needed to be done and to my mind the twisting instructions were the wrong way round.Maybe I'm just too old the be in charge of such a clever ceiling light for the bathroom.I had trouble with the setting up of all the functions.First of all, no batteries supplied for the hand gel remote ~ well our house had none in stock so a visit to the shop is on my list.No problem, it has a phone App to control it. Download the App, simple and follow instructions.Living room,Master, bedroom were set up but I couldn't click the name into the box so I had to type it in. No that was wrong. Fiddle faddle faff faff to get the lamp connected.Got it working and turned the lamp off at the switch ~ turned it back on at the switch and no remote control over the multiple features. Go back to setting it up ~ that didn't work ~ more Fiddle faddle faff faff to link it up and get it working.I didn't want a multi coloured bathroom but cold white or warm white is a good choice so test in the dark. Cold white is a bit unforgiving in our bathroom so set to warm ~ great.Built in dimmer, what a good idea, saves buying a LED suitable dimmer switch. The only problem was, "That's not dim enough!" ~ well there no arguing with that.So to sum up, I found it difficult to get all the functions to operate and when I did I found that I didn't need them !!!Simple to install and well made, but ask yourself do you need what it can do and are you patient enough to get it working with your phone or the supplied remote control.I'm going to stick to the simpler option.
