Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

with this group of people. You also need to want to buy "Retribution" as this book ends on
a real cliffhanger.
There was even more action in this book than book 1 and a lot more killing - especially by Simon,
an ex-SAS soldier who is totally insane. He wants to gather an army and make himself the dictator
of it - and heaven help anyone who stands in his way! He also wants to find Nick and kill him.
Nick, also ex-SAS, is reluctantly leading a small group who have survived the flu pandemic, and two more
women join them. In this book we find out why Nick was a loner even before the flu problem. There was a
lot of violence and F-words in the book but no sex. The teenage dialogue can be a bit annoying for an old fogey
like me!
The book was rather short and there are still missed words and other typos, but it didn't spoil the story for me.
I have read and reviewed book 3, which I also gave 4 stars.
Thank god the next book in the series is already published and I can get straight into it.
Loved the storyline and the premise. Nick the lead character or hero if you like, is very
believable as he leads his group from one mishap to the next. Dan his protégé is very
likable and engaging. Everyone has a younger brother like him.
The aftermath of the pandemic is well told in the ensuing chaos that develops. Unlike
other books the end is not predictable.
Really enjoyed it and will definitely enjoy the rest of the series. Will Nick ever find inner
peace? We'll see.
