Age And Weight

From birth to approx. 2 years (min. 3.5 kg, max. 13 kg).

Bouncer (max 9 kg) – Always use the restraint system. Make sure that both buttons are locked. You can adjust between two positions. Stop using the product as a bouncer once your child can sit up without help.

Chair (max 13 kg) – Use as chair when your child can walk and sit on his or her own. In order to convert the product into a chair, all you have to do is turn the fabric around.

Cotton/Jersey: Cotton fabric (100% cotton) and jersey fabric (71% cotton, 24% viscose, 5% polyamide).

Washing Instructions

Machine wash at 40°C. Wash separately. Use a mild and bleach-free detergent. Do not tumble dry.

Available in 3 different fabrics: breathable mesh, snuggly cotton/jersey or soft cotton.

Finally got one with my 4th child. One of those purchases I'd always wanted but had been put off by the price.
Bottom line. It's worth it.
Little man doesn't have to do much to bounce. He's very comfortable in the hammock like seat. It's easy to store (really flat) and easy to wash. Perfect really and I love the grown up colours.
You can buy a lovely wooden toy bar and it's a shame it's not included as it does push up the price of an already expensive product. I purchased this add on and it he does love it more so with it but its not needed in my opinion from birth.
I just wish I'd splashed out on one sooner. It would have definitely lasted and with it folding completely flat would have been easy to save between children.

Serious review no interested to increase sales or whatever. But I took the time to actually write a review as I was surprised how much my 5month old daughter likes it. It really is the best investment you can make for your baby they literally start bouncing on it using their feet which is genius if you ask me. In turn the baby gets tired bouncing and fall asleep easier which is super good as my daughter never falls asleep when I need her too haha. Additionally it looks comfortable and my daughter enjoys being on the Bjorn chair.

I'm glad I persevered with this bouncer. My little girl did not like it at all initially. She was a low birth weight baby and so we waited until she weighed enough to use it but initially she would no sit in it for more that 5 minutes as she was too light to bounce it. Now that she's older and heavier she absolutely loves it (she's 11 weeks now and has been using it happily for the last 3 weeks). She plays in it in the highest setting and sleeps in it on the lowest setting quite comfortably.
It's a shame it does not come with any toys and it is a little expensive but as it should convert into a toddler chair I'm hoping to get plenty of use out of it.

Quality of fabric cover severely disappointing

This ‘minimalist’ baby bouncer is perfect, especially for packing in the car - folds flat and it’s strong so no worries about damage.

However, considering it’s for babies, the cotton fabric has a disappointing and frustrating tendency to ‘fuzz’.

Even unpacking from brand new, the cover had already attracted considerable ‘fluff’ or lint; using a lint roller helped but really shouldn’t be necessary considering the not insignificant price of this ‘high-end’ bouncer.

After following the washing instructions the cover was obviously cleaner, however it has never lost its tendency to attract lint and fluff; and ‘bobble’.

I’m sure the manufacturer has the resources and expertise to correct this design flaw; there must be ‘anti-static coatings’ or some kind of fabric treatment to inhibit such flaws in the cotton cover.

Maybe use longer-thread cotton? Or shorter? I’m not a textile engineer but it shouldn’t be past the abilities of the BabyBjörn team to look into and correct this disappointing flaw in their otherwise excellent bouncer.

Literally one of the best investments into baby products I’ve ever made.
It’s sturdy yet not bulky and doesn’t take much space when unfolded. Speaking of - it’s foldable and it’s great for travelling (just stick it in the car and you are good to go). It’s very bouncy as well as secure and my kid loves it. And another great thing - changeable and washable seat covers that can be ordered separately (cuz no one cancelled dirty nappy disasters)

If I'd written this review a month after we bought the item I would have given it five stars, as it does what it's designed to do and looks nice. However we only got around two months of use out of it. Once my baby got a bit mobile (learnt to roll onto her front) she refused to sit in the bouncer at all. It's impossible to know beforehand how your baby will be, I know some babies who have been happily using it for nearly a year, so this will be a good value purchase for them. If your baby is an early mover, you'd be better off with a cheaper product for the few weeks you'll be using it - but as said, hard to know!

Easy to use and carry
A bit too pricey though and a toy rail needs to be bought separately.
It's difficult to clean with a wipe. Mine only really cleans properly when washed in the machine.
