More recently we switched to the adult version and we're equally impressed. All four dogs, who are a bit fussy, seem happy to eat it and the kibble is a fine size for them all too (small chihuahua up medium cockapoo). It's not the most fragrant of things, but what dog food is? The dogs also like it if wet from time to time, but that really makes it stink.
One thing I have noticed is that it doesn't cause eye staining, which a number of previous brands did. Another positive is that all our dogs seem to have nice, soft coats which I can only really put down to this food.
Overall, not cheap but the best price/quality trade off we've found so far.

We have been very loyal to the Applaws brand of dog food for the current feeding cycle, with 75% protein. I don't feed my dogs a lot of wet because I want to avoid bad teeth and breath in old age, but I look for good protein content and less filler. Applaws was good mixed with another small breed variety, which has tiny kibbles that my Jack Russell appreciated. The large bag sizes that I wanted seem harder to find now that I'm replenishing stock, so I did some looking and came across Arden Grange.
The protein content isn't as high as Applaws, but it's significant enough that I decided I could do away with a mixer and simply use this brand full time. I was dishearted to see that small breed variety is only sold in small sacks, which is annoying to me since I have more than one pet and prefer to buy in bulk for convenience. By volume it's also much more expensive, which does bother me. I decided to take a chance on the Adult variety, in both Chicken and Lamb flavours and then monitor my dogs at their bowls. The food is fragrant, and both my dogs were curious immediately. I'm happy to say even my Jack Russell is happy with the kibble size. He is an expert bowl noser, and I quickly noticed that he was nosing the new food bits so that he could eat them first over the old brand so that is a real stamp of approval.
I think Arden Grange will be a staple for my dogs for the while, the price is very attractive and I'm able to buy in the size that I prefer despite the discrepancy in price for breed sizes. The protein content is competitive with other brands, and it's obvious my dogs are happy with their new meal. I've managed to please them and also save myself both time and money, so I'm lucky to have found this range.

UPDATE - As my dog liked this dog food I intended to keep buying it. However, when I went to buy it again, I discovered it was only available to Prime members. Extremely unfair and it meant that I had to find another suitable dog food. The reason that I am not a Prime member is that I live in a rural location and our broadband is very poor. This means that I am not able to watch films online so Prime would be of no use to me.
