How to Use
To use, simply fill a litter tray of any size with a 2-cm-deep layer of litter. Remove solid excrements from the tray on a daily basis, and empty the tray completely and refill when saturated. Approximately every week, wash the tray in warm soapy water, and dry thoroughly before refilling with clean litter. Provide your cat with a litter tray that's fresh and clean with help from AmazonBasics Cat Litter Wood Pellets, 30L. Tip: If you have under-floor heating, please place an insulating mat under your litter tray. This helps to prevent odours that might develop when moisture that is locked inside the granules is heated up.
Change Litter Gradually
Gradually add some of the new litter to your litter box every day, replacing the amount you scooped out. Watch your cat's reactions, keeping things relaxed and as normal as possible. If you think your cat seems distressed or suspicious of the new litter, slow down the change a bit. On the other hand, if your cat seems oblivious to the change, continue to add more of the new type of litter until the box contains only the new type of litter.
Another way to make this a gradual, non-threatening change is by offering more than one type of litter. Keep the old box with the brand your cat is used to, but alongside it offer a separate litter box with the new type of litter. You will still carry out the process of switching over the litter in the old box gradually and patiently, but offering your cat the new litter as an alternative may just tempt her to try it out on its own. If you find her using the new litter exclusively for a few days in a row, you can consider the switch complete.

Bag of dust, dont buy. Followed reviews but our bag was just pure dust. Will be complaining to amazon.

And I ordered my second bag on May, it was totally different. I can smell a very strong smell immediately when I opened the bag and the colour and the texture is completely different. It was like if I have ordered a different brand. The pellets have that dark dirty unevenly brown colour and it doesn't absorb as well as before.
Very disappointed, I was going to keep using this brand. Now I am thinking trying others.

Seeing as this was more expensive we assumed it couldn't be any lesser than the one we normally buy.
How wrong.
Firstly it comes unpackaged and as such by the time it was delivered had split all over the van and was delivered to us in a large crate which we then had to mess around decanting out.
Still thought we would give it a try and it is absolutely terrible turns to dust almost instantly would definitely not recommend this product honestly dont know how it's got such high ratings because there really aren't any positives

One happy kitten, less mess for you!

Had cats all my life, sadly my older cats died and we got a new kitten aged 8 weeks old. He came to us litter trained on clumping litter but we wanted something more environmentally friendly. Reviews for this looked good but some people said it was powdery. Had used a well known brand of recycled paper before that close 50% more and wanted something cheaper. This wood pellet cat litter ticks all the boxes, absorbent, smells good, efficient, cost effective and environmentally friendly. Get a lot of use as breaks down when urinated on, scoop out and replace, keeps smells to a minimum unless the cat does a smelly poo. Great value for money, highly recommended. Cat likes it too. My 8 week old kitten switched to this with no accidents so far!
