Two great storage boxes that are a good size and easy to store when not in use

The UMI, Amazon Brand fabric storage boxes are supplied in a plastic bag that needs to be cut or torn open (pic 1). They are supplied flat and the set consists of the main parts of the two boxes, two removeable base pieces and 4 equal lengths of thick rope (pic 2). Assembly is quick and easy. Unfold the box, slip the base in and fit and knot the optional handles (pics 3-5). The base piece has a useful tab (make sure you fit it the right side up) that makes removal easier. The assembled box is a good size at around 18x14x10 inches (L/W/H). In first use, I found the zip closure is a little fiddly to close, especially when going round a corner but hopefully it will loosen up with further use.These boxes are good for clothes storage but could equally be used for many other purposes. The eyelets and rope handles mean that these boxes are not air-tight nor would they be dust, spider or moth proof, without covering the eyelet holes. In practise this should not be an issue but may guide their use. They are perhaps not best suited to long-term and undisturbed storage but in a wardrobe or on a shelving unit and for not perishable contents they are ideal. Mine have already been pressed into service for some of my tech and camera gear. I have added some desiccant sachets, just in case but they should be fine.I like the grey material it is neutral and quite attractive. It works with wood and painted furniture. The boxes are quite sturdy when assembled but they should not be stacked too high or be filled with very delicate items. All in all these are very good boxes and I like them. I also like their ease of disassembly and storage. Just the thing for seasonal clothes or temporary storage. They are good value and very much on a par with good quality, similarly sized plastic boxes; plus these are breathable. There is little not to like. Sure they have some limitations but if they suit your purpose then they are a good, attractive buy.
