Multiple uses for this Lbs anda Kg hand scale

Such a useful piece of kit that's easy to use, portable, and reasonably accurate. Although this is advertised as a luggage scale, I use it for a different purpose that's equally useful. Weighing baskets of apples for packing, weighing exercise bands to find out the actual resistance at a maximum stretch (this is the only tool I've found that can do this), and weighing heavy parcels before posting.Using the scale is very intuitive and easy to change from Kg to Lbs at the touch of a button. I also like the feature where you can weigh a basket then tare the reading so that you know only the weight of the items inside the basket.When the scale is activated it shows a bright green backlight that's easy to read from most angles. The reading will also hold at the maximum weight once it's stabilised. I found the construction was pretty solid and can be used to hold a weight of 25Kg easily, without any bending or distortion of the body.The scale comes with a fitted battery and all you need to do is pull the plastic tab out and it starts working. IT also switches off automatically when not in use.Accuracy? I used this scale to measure some known weights that I use in the Gym. I found that it's best to weigh an item three times and take the best out of two readings. This appears to be because you need to make sure that you don't pull upwards on the scale while initially taking a weight reading. This can have the effect of adding extra upward force that adds to the measurement of the downward force of the weight. The result will be it will read a higher weight. I don't think this is an accuracy issue of the scales, as the method of holding while weighing will always produce extra forces unless you hold the scale very securely without jerking it. What am I really saying here? simply that a handheld scale is only as accurate as your hand(s) are steady.I found this scale especially useful in measuring exercise resistance bands. I attached the band to an anchor point and the scale tape to the other end, then pulled the scale handle to extend the band. The scale will read the resistance force in weight that's equivalent to a static weight like a dumbell. Brilliant!Altogether a fine device for basic weight measurements. The accuracy issue will solely depend I think on how steady you can hold the scale while measuring, so making a few measurements will be a wise way to go.
