These supports are meant to come into contact with unbroken skin only, are intended for a single patient use, and are reusable. Please ensure the supports are suitable for your condition and that you are not sensitive to neoprene or rubber-based material or any other material listed in the "material composition" details box. After the first use, we recommend removing the support after one hour use to ensure that you are not sensitive to any materials used in the product. Do not wear with any creams that could react with the material. If the brace is too tight, we recommend exchanging the product for a better fit. Tight-fitting can cause discomfort. The straps should overlap the material and the underside should not be exposed to the skin. The supports are simple to fit and function well if the instructions for use are followed. How to clean: Hand wash and air dry the support regularly.

It was like a miracle! NO PAIN! NONE! My 1st pain free nights sleep since October! I wore them Monday night with the same result, but woke an hour before my alarm was due to go off Tues morn, so I tried a little experiment and removed the splints, then settled back down...within 10 mins my right wrist started to become painful..Needless to say .I shall be wearing my splints every night! They are very comfortable and light but the support they give is amazing!
There is one surprising side effect...Wearing them kind of makes me feel like Wonder Woman!!!

The 3* rating is down to durability of the product. Within a week of use the synthetic material that holds the metal splint in place began to wear away. A couple weeks on and the material has worn through and the splint is showing through.
This is mostly caused by dorsiflexion of the hand, i.e. holding your hand out making a stop sign as it pushes the splint down against the material. So its worth bearing in mind that this is an actual splint to immobilise the hand and not suitable if you intend to use your hand. The splint can also cause limb fatigue as you are working against it when you move your hand. Not perfect for recovering from a RSI.
While it was good, it helped and was certainly easier to use than the tubular bandage I found the tubular bandage, doubled up with a hole cut for the thumb worked better and it also supported the knuckles as well.
Sadly, I seem to have developed massively fat wrists all of a sudden, because my little wrist support is just that: little. I've measured my wrist without taking my chubby little forearm into consideration. As a result, the splint fits well around the hand, but there is no way on this Earth, that Moon or Uranus I can get my wrist and forearm squeezed in.
Did I just make a reference to getting my forearm in Uranus?
*sniggers like a schoolboy*
I'll contact Amazon in the next day or two and get it exchanged for a larger size.
