My son 11 yrs is very happy with his maps and looks at them constantly on his bedroom wall and talks about different countries, just what I wanted from him.
You need to be careful with the scratching off, we did most of the small countries and he did the big plus the flags.

I bought this as part of my adult daughters birthday present. She likes travelling and wanted to have visual a record of where she'd been. I purposely chose a map that showed all the individual States in America as there are so many and just to scratch off the whole of America when only one State had been visited wouldn't have been right. The map is on sturdy card and comes with an implement to scratch off the separate countries together with a magnifying glass in a small pouch to see the smaller countries properly. It also shows the flags of all the countries too. It has also been a good opportunity to show her young niece exactly where places are in the world and where she has been. She's really pleased with it and is planning to scratch a few more places off in the near future.

This is A3 sizeD, Yes, I know - measurments etc are all there on show...but i did spend a little time looking at others - thought would be bigger..perhaps A2 size thats all. SO - despite this disappointment ( totally my own fault ) the quality of said item is lovely, the packaging equally lovely, yes, a lovely gift it would make. Ive seen some ( bigger ) in shops, The Works, for 8pounds or so...but...im, guessing the quality isnt there. SO - yes, happy with this product, frame it, looks nice. Must mention. The bonus map of Europe was not with it, instead a bonus map of USA. So, disappointed there..however, i did email sender etc and they not only refunded me!! yes! refunded me! but also re-sent me the map again, with both USA and Europe maps included as well as main bigger map. SO..how can I complain. Excellent service. Ok, nitpicky, end of day, xmas day opening the map of europe wasnt there..so yes, their fault...BUT..overall good quality product, excellent service. If your aware of size..which will look nice in a frame...then go for it.

I'm really disappointed. I've scratched too hard in places and it's not only taken off the intended top layer but also the layer underneath, going all the way through to the white of the poster. This shouldn't be possible. I wasn't even scratching hard.

Also, the Europe section is very small, but they have a zoomed-in view of it, which isn't much bigger! What was the point in that?

I've wanted one of these maps for years, but I wish I'd gone with a different company. Really not impressed with this one.
