This did support my 5600X out of the box, but it was completely unstable. My PC would restart under heavy load. I have a 240hz monitor so usually both CPU and graphics card are pretty stressed.
Once or twice, it would not boot at all. First I suspected the PSU, then graphics card, then RAM. Thankfully I'm a tech person so I had spares....turned out to be the board.
Updated to a beta bios from the ASUS website and the restarts stopped. Maybe I got a lemon because other people seem to be saying it works fine with 5600X but that was not my experience. The bios that came with it does support it, and it did work when I capped my FPS at 60 (hence less stress on the CPU and GPU) but it's very unreliable under heavy load.
