When I received this battery, I tried charging it but no Joy, I was using an original dyson charger but no power connection at all. I contacted amazon and they refunded me and quite rightly advised me to dispose of it instead of taking it back. As I know a thing or two about the batteries, I decided to remove the cells and dispose of them correctly down my local tip as when the cells are separated they are safer to dispose of. After I removed the cells I thought I would check to see if they did have any charge in them or not. To my surprise one cell was completely dead and the others were charged up to 4.75 per cell and these are 18659 cells. Now these batteries are very explosive if not kept in the charge range between 3.6v and 4.2, so at 4.75v this battery pack was supper dangerous and should not be released from factory in this state as they can cause fire. It gets worse, the advert stated 4000mah but the batteries clearly show 2000mah each cell so the life span of the battery was mis leading to.
I think I found what this issue is and that is the BMS board only had 3 x battery checking components instead of 6 as there was 6 cells in the charger, this could explain how one battery was allowed to drain so low and the other over charge so high.
I never leave reviews but on this occasion, I felt people need to know about this product along with amazon. I might have just got a faulty one but a think the design of the BMS (Battery Management System) needs to be reviewed and should monitor all 6 cells independently before putting in to peoples homes.
