Our fish thrive on this. It's so much cheaper and better for the environment to buy bulk like this. If you leave the foil on and close the lid tight it each time you use it, it'll stay fresh for a long time.
We have guppies, tetras, Santos, a red finned shark, cherry shrimp, bamboo shrimp and snails. They are all doing well on it (too well if you saw how many snails we have!😜)
We don't have plastic plants, only natural wood and natural plants and are finding we do very little water changes as a result. Hope that helps?
