The path choices are brilliant and wonderfully presented, shown as a video nasty in the menu where you can play back the choices you’ve made and how you ‘accidentally’ killed someone. I say accidentally as we all hated Emily in until dawn 😂
The soundtrack is current but brings back that careless joy you’d find in an 80s camp film, it also has that brilliant synth notes along with orchestral swells to really drive in the terror.
My only small criticism is there are some bugs on the Xbox one release, however, this console is aging now. They did an amazing job bringing this game to older consoles and making it look as good as current gen systems.
Amazing work from supermassive games and you can see the love the put into this.
Very immersive, so many things that you can search and look around for.
A lot of people will say after playing it through once then you’ll be done with it, that may be the case for some but I’ve found it’s good to go through it again and make different choices and see how different the outcomes are. Great game, highly recommend!!
What do I mean? Well, it has quite literally less choices then little hope or it’s predecessor, let alone anything meaningful like in Until dawn or House of Ashes. You can mess practically everything up, and choose the negative options, but there are very, very few sermons where choices actually matter.
I will not spoil the ending, but the supposed “good” cannon ending is absolutely mind bottling outrageous. Literally, it is potentially by far, the most nonexistent, none coherent narrative you’ll ever see, and is actually worse then cyberpunk 2077 in terms of story (graphics are actually quite good).
Honestly, for anyone who wants a story about choices, and role playing, I would highly suggest House of Ashes, or if you’re willing for something more, then Red dead redemption 2 or even more story driven: the Witcher 3: wild hunt. These games are by far the best you will find for story, graphics & gameplay on any console, and all work absolutely fantastic on next gen consoles. None are console exclusive which is even better as well, and all can usually be picked up for less then this game.
Great graphics great story and multiple choice options so replaying the game is always a fun experience
